Hari Shanthi, 32 was found dead inside a classroom at DG Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam Chennai on December 17. Hari Shanthi worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the college in Telugu Department. Later she cracked the TET exam and began working as the teacher at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Perambur.

Reportedly Hari Shanthi would visit the College to meet her friends once in a while. The CCTV footage placed near the college registered her entry into the College campus on December 17. It is said that she had entered into Telugu department classroom.

After some time, she was found dead with blood bleeding from her left hand. It is not known if Hari Shanthi had committed suicide or was it any other reason for her death. The Arumbakkkam police officers were called to the spot and further investigations were rolled out.

According to the latest reports, Hari Shanthi and professor Natarajan of DG Vaishnav College were in love with each other and were about to get married.

Full statement of Natarajan is given below.

Hari Shanthi and I know each other for a long time since we studied in the same institution. She was working in DG Vaishnav college while I worked at some other private institution. At one point we decided to get married to each other. But I got my marriage fixed with one of my relatives which made her depressed.

Later she passed TET exam and got placed in a Government School. Since the post of Assistant Professor remained vacant at the college, she referred me for the job. Once I joined the college, she would visit quite often to meet me. During one such instance, she forced me to marry her. I asked how it is possible when I'm already married and have 2 kids.

On December 17, Hari Shanthi and I had a verbal fight in the classroom as she kept insisting to marry her. After some time, I walked out of the classroom and went to my mansion in Triplicane. I switched off my phone and went to sleep. It was only in the morning I learnt that she hanged herself to death inside the Telugu Department classroom. I passed on the information to the college administration. I deleted my phone conversation with Hari Shanthi on my phone but the police read all my messages on her phone.

It was only in the morning that I got to know that she committed suicide. Finally, he confessed about all his previous conversation with Harishanthi.
