15-year-Old boy Refuses to Light Cigarette, gets Stabbed!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsA 15- year- old- boy was allegedly stabbed to death by his uncle after he refused to light a cigarette for him. The incident took place on Saturday at Bajanaikovil street in Ramanathapuram.
The accused has been identified as A Manikandan, a 43-year-old cab driver. The Victim was identified as Yogesh, the son of the Manikandan’s younger sister, Krishnamani. She lives in the market Road at Irugur. Reportedly, Yogesh had come to his uncle’s residence to visit him a few days ago.
Reportedly, On Saturday Manikandan asked Yogesh to light a cigarette for him. Yogesh denied to light the cigarette and scolded Manikandan for asking him to light a cigarette.
Allegedly this angered Manikandan who stabbed him in the abdomen. Yogesh was taken to Coimbatore Medical College where he was treated. According to Times Now’s report, he is in a stable condition now.
Yogesh’s father filed a complaint with the police and registered a case. Manikandan was booked under section 294 (b) (Utters obscene words in public place), 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was arrested on Sunday.
Earlier, another attack took place over a petty issue when a student and his brother were stabbed for talking in a “Bihari” accent over phone.
