Coimbatore - Audi car smashes into auto, six dead

In a shocking incident in Coimbatore, an Audi car smashed into an auto rickshaw on Wednesday as a result of which six died. The accident reportedly took place today morning near Sundarapuram in Coimbatore.

Reportedly, the car smashed into the auto that was standing on the side of the road. All the four seated inside the auto died on the spot. Three more have been injured and admitted to the hospital.

The police are currently trying to identify the victims. It has been confirmed that the fault lies with the car driver. However, the reason for the accident is yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that the driver must have lost control to cause an accident of such magnitude.

The accident reportedly took place during the peak hours and hence many were witness to the gruesome incident. The place was crowded with anxious spectators. Due to the rush, the road was also temporarily barricaded from use.
