Chennai - Youth wears burqa to win lover's kiss; Lands in jail instead

The things people do to court their loved ones knows no bounds. However, a youth from Chennai went to a bizarre extreme so as to win the kiss of his lover.

Sakthivel, who lives in Pattabiram, was in love with a certain girl. The youngster sought intimacy from the girl and wanted a kiss. However, the girl threw him a challenge, winning which would ensure him a kiss. Sakthivel was asked to wear a burqa that many Muslim women wear and walk the stretch from Royapettah to the famous Marina Beach.

Sakthivel complied and wore a burqa, hoping he could complete the challenge. However, while walking near Marina Beach, onlookers discovered that there was a man underneath the burkha. Assuming that he was a thief, passersby thrashed Sakthivel. He was later handed over to the police.
