Bomb disposal squads have been at extra vigilance at important places including railway stations ahead of Independence Day that falls on August 15 in Chennai.
The moves comes after the Centre ordered all states to stay vigilant in order to avoid any mishap with regards to Independence Day, following which bomb squads have been actively checking railway stations, bus depots, popular bridges, etc.
In accordance with the same, an inspection was carried out at Chennai Central Railway Station, Salem Bus stand, places where public largely tend to congregate, etc, on Monday.
