Chennai: Love Marriage takes Ugly turn, Woman jumps from Top of a Building!

Three persons have been arrested in view of a dowry harassment case in Maduravoyal. 26-year-old Naganandhini, jumped off from the second floor of her residence on May 25. According to the police, she got married to 30- year- old S Senthil two years ago. “Ever since the wedding, Senthil, his mother Vasantha, and sister Sita Lakshmi have been demanding dowry from Naganandhini. They allegedly threatened to file for divorce if she does not bring money,” a police official told The New Indian Express. 

Reportedly, the victim’s husband also told her that he was getting married to another girl as she did not give him the dowry he desired.

The three arrested persons allegedly physically abused Naganandhini. “Unable to bear the torture the victim decided to end her life. The neighbours, who heard the screams, rushed her to hospital where she is undergoing treatment,” the official added. 

The trio was arrested on Tuesday after Naganandhini’s father filed a complaint. According to Times of India’s report, the Thirumangalam all-women police arrested the victim’s husband, Senthilnathan from his hometown in Cuddalore district. A Court sent him to jail on Wednesday.
