21-year-old Chennai girl dies due to wrong injection by private doctor for cough and nausea!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsA 21-year-old girl in Chennai died after she was administered an injection by a private doctor in Pammal on Wednesday, alleges her family, reports Puthiya Thalaimurai.
The family blamed the doctor and tension prevailed in the area. The girl, Nithya aka Libya was a BA graduate from Anakaputhur. She had been suffering from cough and nausea for two days before her mother took her to a private hospital near Pallavaram.
Sources say that she was administered with an injection and later she fainted after which she was rushed to another private hospital in the area where the doctors said her condition is getting worse and asked her to be taken to Chromepet Government Hospital.
When she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, she was declared dead on arrival. Shocked by the news, her parents protested and filed a complaint on the hospital and doctor. Police are investigating while the hospital rejected the claim.
Her body was taken to Chromepet Govt Hosp for postmortem but as her parents demanded her it be videotaped, her body was sent to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital.
