Dogs in Karunanidhi household pictured being sad

It is not just scores of party cadres or family members who are sad at the passing away of beloved leader M Karunanidhi, but two dogs of the Gopalapuram residence as well, which has been pictured in a sad state, looking at the portrait of Kalaignar and has since gone viral on social media. 

The 94-year-old DMK patriarch passed away on Tuesday at 6.10 pm following prolonged illness and was laid to rest at Marina on Wednesday with full state honours. 

It wasn't long ago when Kalaignar became the first Indian politician to spearhead a party for 50 years. The sad day has truly led to the sun setting in and can be termed as a black day for Indian politicians.
