TN Govt Announces New Lockdown Guidelines - What is Allowed and What is Not? - Details

The intensified lockdown which begins on 19 June, Friday in Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, and Tiruvallur has been relaxed. The new guidelines were issued by the government on Wednesday.

Announcements:

Pre-paid autos, taxis, and private vehicles can pick up or drop passengers from railway stations and airports.

Police will regulate these vehicles in the airports and railway stations.

E-pass will be issued by TN e-governance agency for those travelling to and from railway stations and airports.

Headquarters of banks can function with minimal staff.

Banks with minimal staff can function, but no direct service to public is permitted.

E-passes will for movement in and out of Chennai and other areas enforcing lockdown will be issued by the Industries department to managerial and supervisory categories.

Workers staying within the premises of the industry need not be tested for the virus.

Seaports can function for essential commodities, medical services, and medical equipment but with minimum staff.

Milk and drinking water vehicles are permitted to ferry.

Essential services to function with minimum staff and e-pass will be provided for those workers by the companies.

Staff working in petrol bunks will be allowed to ferry but with identity cards.

LPG cylinder services are allowed.
