Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsAs the spread of the novel coronavirus continues to increase by the day in Tamil Nadu, four districts are contributing majorly to the existing figures.
Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanceepuram, and Chengalpet are among the worst hit districts in the state of Tamil Nadu. Under these circumstances, Chennai has been the worst hit district. Hence, it was said that the city might be completely sealed in order to control the coronavirus spread. It was also said that either the entire city, or north-Chennai will be sealed as majority of the cases have been reported from there.
However, Dr. Radhakrishnan IAS, the special officer appointed to tackle Coronavirus, has now confirmed that the 4 districts will not be going into containment.
