A four-year-old girl died in Chennai on Thursday after falling off the balcony of her seventh-floor apartment in Choolaimedu. Isha was eldest of two children to Gopal, who works in a private company and his wife Geetha. The couple has another one-year-old toddler.
Yesterday evening, after finding that Saradha, who is a pre-KG student was asleep, her mother had taken the toddler off to a neighbour's flat. When Saradha woke, she began to search for her mother and lost balance while peeping over the balcony. She suffered extensive head injuries in the aftermath of the fall.
Even though the kid was rushed to Children's Hospital in Egmore, she couldn't be saved and breathed her last on Thursday morning. Cops have registered a case and further investigation is on.
