Bomb threat at Chennai secretariat, bomb squad searches premises

It is to be reported that, people present at the Tamil Nadu secretariat in Chennai got worried and panicked after Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Office on Monday received a letter that a bomb was found inside the premises.

According to ANI news agency, the Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral office on Monday afternoon received an anonymous letter claiming the presence of bomb in the premises.

Soon after the threat, bomb detention and disposal squad came into action and rushed to the spot. They searched the secretariat thoroughly after evacuating the building, ANI further reported.

Hours after search, it is reported that as per authorities, it was a hoax threat. Further details are awaited.
