Chennai Corporation Issues E-pass for Electricians, AC Mechanic, Plumbers, Domestic Help to Return to Work from Today; Conditions laid!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsAs the lockdown restrictions have been eased from May 4 across Tamil Nadu, plumbers, electricians, AC mechanics, carpenters, domestic help and home care providers can now resume to work. It can only be possible after they apply for work passes from the Greater Chennai Corporation online.
In a recent released press note, Corporation Commissioner G Prakash said plumbers, electricians, AC mechanics, carpenters, domestic help and others will have to apply through the website http:/tnepass.tnega.org, only then they can resume work.
Meanwhile, all restrictions pertaining to the lockdown will be in force in all containment zones until 17 May, Prakash said. Also, shops selling essential items can be open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Even restaurants will be allowed to function from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
With few restrictions being eased, strict rules like wearing masks and following social distancing must be taken into note. The restrictions would be relaxed in areas other than containment zones.
