Accident in TN: Wood cutting Machine Chops off 23-year-Old Pregnant Woman's Head!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsA pregnant woman died on the spot, on May 29 after her head was chopped in an accident, near Coimbatore’s Sulur district, Tamil Nadu.
The deceased has been identified as Kalpana (23). Her husband Dharmaraj owns the tree chopping mill where the incident took place. However, he was away when the incident occured. The police have revealed that kalpana visited the mill often and helped around. She served tea and rendered a few small services when ever she visits.
After the nation-wide lockdown protocols have been eased, the mill began functioning only recently.
Hence, when she had visited the mill today, her Sawl had gotten stuck to the chopping machinery. She was trying to remove it when her head had gotten caught in the machinery, because of which she was beheaded. The workers who witnessed the accident informed the police.
The Sulur police station is actively investigating the case and the initial report suggested that keeping the machinery open, without following safety precautions has caused the death. The deceased’s body has also been confiscated by the officials.
