10th Public Exam Updates: TN School Education Minister announces Dates for Class 10 Exams! Details Given

Tamil Nadu government announced the new exam timetable for SSLC 10th students today. The exams are scheduled to commence on the 1st of June and will go on till 12th of June. 

The Timetable for State Board Students writing the Class 10 Public exam, has been listed below: 

01.06.2020 - Language

03.06.2020- English

05.06.2020- Mathematics

06.06.2020- Optional Language

08.06.2020- Science

10.06.2020- Social Science

12.06.2020- Vocational

Several states have postponed the class 10 and 12 exams due to the pandemic. The Tamil Nadu government has already cancelled exams for other classes. 

Tamil Nadu School Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan announced on Tuesday that the exams will commence on June 1. He assured that social distancing norms will be strictly adhered to in all examination centres across the state. 

He also mentioned that so far, there are no plans with respect to reopening of schools and colleges as of now. 

The exams were postponed and schools were shut due to the Lockdown that has been imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. As per government officials’ statements to the media, the third phase of the Lockdown will begin on 17th of May.
