Out of the six matches played so far, the losing Mumbai team has become one of the toughest to advance to the play-off round.

After losing the first six league matches for the first time, Mumbai will take on Chennai Super Kings tomorrow (21.04.2022) in their next league match.

Even if they win all of the upcoming matches, advancing to the next round is said to be a bit of a challenge. As such, a prominent player of the Mumbai Indians team has abruptly announced his retirement from international cricket.

Kieran Pollard of the West Indies captained the West Indies in the T20 World Cup last year. Pollard, who has captained the West Indies since 2019, has now announced his retirement from international cricket.

Pollard, who played in ODIs and T20s only, was the best player in the West Indies. As such, Pollard, who has played for the Mumbai Indians for the past several IPL seasons, continues to be one of the most action-packed and dangerous batsmen in the IPL series.

Regardless of the situation in the match, if Pollard is on the field, there will definitely be a tension for the opposing bowler. Meanwhile, Pollard has announced his retirement from international cricket, much to the consternation of fans.

Pollard also posted a scathing statement on his Instagram page. Under this post, many fans have been posting scurrilous comments.
