Kolkata won the first match, Delhi the second and Punjab the third. Like the previous IPL series, the current series is off to a rousing start.

Expectations are high as the two new teams, the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants, will clash in the fourth match today. Meanwhile, former cricketer Parthiv Patel has revealed some interesting deets about Bumrah.

Bumrah, who made his IPL debut in 2013, has been named in the Indian team for his outstanding bowling prowess and has risen to become the No. 1 fast bowler in the Indian team today. Not only that, but Bumrah is also one of the best fast bowlers in the world.

Parthiv is currently commenting on the fact that Kohli once ignored Bumrah without taking it into the team. "In 2014, when I was in RCB I had told Virat that there's a bowler Bumrah, just see him. The reply that came from his end was 'Chord na yaar, ye Bumrah-Vumrah kya karenge? (Leave it, what will this Bumrah-Vumrah do?)"

As Parthiv said, if the Bangalore team had picked up Bumrah, surely there would have been a chance that Bumrah would have lasted in that team till now. Talking about Bumrah's hard work, Parthiv Patel said, "Bumra made his debut for Mumbai in the IPL in 2013. Until about 2014-2015 IPL, Bumrah's bowling was not taken seriously.

But it was the Mumbai team that retained him again. After this, due to his hard work, the well-groomed Bumra has progressed to the best position today, "said Parthiv Patel.

Mumbai Indians have released a video congratulating Bumrah on his 10 years in the IPL.
