IPL 2022: Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis cheer for Mumbai Indians - Watch!

The league matches of the 15th IPL series have almost reached the final stage. With 67 league matches played so far, only the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have advanced to the play-off round.

On the other hand, Kolkata, Punjab, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai missed out on the play-off round.

With two more places in the play - off round, Rajasthan, Bangalore and Delhi have a chance.

Opportunity Retained RCB

Bangalore team clashed with Gujarat Titans in their last league match yesterday (19.05.2022). In this, Bangalore team was in a position to retain the play-off round opportunity if they win. Batting first, Gujarat scored 168 for the loss of 5 wickets.

Subsequently, Bangalore openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli added a superb run to the target. Both added 115 runs for the first wicket, with Maxwell finally showing action, losing just two wickets as Bangalore won by 8 wickets.

The team's star batsman, who has stumbled in the current IPL series, has returned to form with 73 runs in the match against Gujarat, much to the delight of the fans. Similarly, the RCB, which has played 14 league games, is in fourth place with 8 wins.

If the Mumbai Indians win the match against Delhi Capitals tomorrow (21.05.2022), Bangalore's play-off chances are there. Thus, the RCB team and the fans feel that the Mumbai team should win.

Speaking on the video, Kohli said, "We are here to support the Mumbai Indians. Not just the two of us, but all 25 members of our team are here to support the Mumbai team. You might see us in the stadium," told du Plessis. 

Kohli and Du Plessis' comments in favor of the Mumbai team are currently going viral, as the RCB could qualify for the play - offs if the Mumbai team wins.
