Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings clashed in the 54th league match of the IPL yesterday. Delhi won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ruturaj Gaikwad (41) and Devon Conway (87) were the opening batsmen. Shivam Dubey followed with 32 off 19 balls. Dhoni 21 (8 balls), Bravo 1 and were unbeaten till the end. So at the end of 20 overs, Chennai team scored 208 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Batting next, Delhi scored only 117 runs in 17.4 overs. So CSK won by 91 runs. For Chennai, Moin Ali took 3 wickets, Bravo, Mukesh Chaudhary and Simarjeet Singh took 2 wickets each and Deekshna took 1 wicket.
CSK all-rounder Moeen Ali (9) and Uthappa (duck) were out in the last over of the match, which was earlier bowled by Delhi fast bowler Andrich Nordje. Following this, Bravo took the field and watched the hat-trick not fall. He hit a single off the first ball he faced and gave a strike to Dhoni.
Following this, Dhoni ran 2 doubles each in the last 2 balls. Thus Bravo, who had run to the other end, was exhausted. He jumped twice and just touched the crease. Speaking after the match, Bravo said, "When I came down, I saw that the hat-trick did not fall. Then I was determined to give Dhoni a strike. I jokingly told him to hit a four without running doubles. But batting with a great player was a good experience. Ruturaj, Conway started and our team played wonderfully, "said Bravo.
