The Sri Lankan team, which is touring Bangladesh, is playing in a two-match Test series. With the first Test ending in a draw, the 2nd Test between the two teams is underway. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.

In this situation, Sri Lankan Kushal Mendis suddenly fell down in the 23rd over of the match. He is said to have had chest pains at the time. Following this he underwent a medical examination. He has already been reported to be in poor health since morning.

He is currently hospitalized for further treatment. He will be treated properly, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Association. In the first Test, Kushal Mendis scored 50 in the first innings and 48 in the second innings, the main reason for the draw.
