The 20th league match of the IPL series was played at the Mumbai ground yesterday. The Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, and the Lucknow Super Giants, led by KL Rahul, clashed. The top order batsmen of Rajasthan, who batted first, were subsequently dismissed. The team lost 4 wickets for 67 runs in 10 overs.

Hetmyer and Tamil Nadu's Ashwin, who were on the field at the time, formed a good partnership and played leisurely to raise the score. With the last 2 overs to go, Ashwin was out in retired mode when he scored 28 runs. Rajasthan then went on to score 165 in 20 overs with the help of youngster Ryan Barack.

Batting next, Lucknow scored only 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. So Rajasthan won by 3 runs. And advanced to first place in the points table. Ashwin became the first player in IPL history to retire.

Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson explained, "It’s about being Rajasthan Royals (Ashwin’s retired-out). We keep trying different things. Have been talking about it before the season. We thought that if some situation occurs, we can use it. Was a team decision."
