"I think Faf would be jealous a little bit" - Ruturaj Gaikwad's hilarious dig!

Chennai Super Kings recorded their third win in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad yesterday.

Prior to this match, CSK, led by Ravindra Jadeja, played 8 matches and won only two.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was re-appointed as the captain of the CSK team, with Jadeja abruptly stepping down as captain.

CSK Team's 3rd Win

Fans, who were annoyed that Dhoni could no longer be seen as the captain, were stunned when he was announced as the captain again. CSK was also led by Dhoni in the match against Hyderabad. CSK, who batted first in the match, scored 202 for the loss of two wickets.

Following on, Hyderabad were 189 for six at the end of 20 overs. Thus, CSK, which won by a margin of 13 runs, has recorded its 3rd win of the current season. There is also the dilemma of being able to advance to the play - offs if they continue to accumulate wins in the remaining 5 league matches.

Ruturaj - Conway Partnership

Meanwhile, in the match against Hyderabad, CSK's opening pair made a significant achievement and rocked the bar. Devon Conway, who joined CSK after his marriage, was in the fray yesterday (01.05.2022). Ruturaj and Conway added a superb run for the first wicket.

Together, the two formed CSK's highest partnership to form a 182-run partnership. As well as being the fourth highest partnership of the opening pair in the entire IPL history. Devon Conway scored 85 and Ruturaj, who was out of form this season, scored 99 to clinch the Man of the Match award.

Ruturaj said, "I think Faf would be jealous a little bit. But it's okay. It feels really nice to have the record."

Last IPL season, Chennai Super Kings beat CSK for the fourth time. The main reason for this was the opening pair of Ruturaj and Faf du Plessis. Ruturaj with 635 and Faf du Plessis with 633 were the top two runners-up in the list.

However, CSK did not retain Du Plessis for the current season and the Bangalore team auctioned him off and appointed him as captain.
