RCB captain Faf du Plessis praises THIS young player!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsBangalore captain Du Plessis has praised a young player who was instrumental in winning the match against Rajasthan Royals.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Du Plessis, and the Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, clashed in the 13th league match of the IPL yesterday. Batting first, Rajasthan scored 169 runs in 20 overs. Batting next, Bangalore won by 173 runs in 19.1 overs. Dinesh Karthik (44) and Shahbaz Ahmed (45) were the top scorers for the team.
Speaking after the match, Bangalore captain Du Plessis said, "To pull it out of nowhere, you need some great characters and DK is as great a character as you can get. His composure under pressure is amazing. He is really calm and such a great asset to us. We bowled really well, upto the 18th over and then Jos got some good shots. Got a score which we thought was a bit above-par with the conditions and the surface spinning a bit. We started quite well though, but then Yuzi (Chahal) bowled really well to get them back in.".
"He's unbelievable - people think he's a skinny guy and can't hit a long ball, but he can hit it big. The guys have been backing him for a long time. Even with his left-arm spin...Today we felt with the ball being wet and the leftie batting it wasn't the ideal matchup."
