Ravindra Jadeja resigns as CSK captain - Who is the new captain now?

It has been officially announced that Jadeja has resigned as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team.

The 15th season of the IPL series kicks off on the 26th at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Before the IPL mega auction, the CSK team offered Jadeja Rs. 16 crore. He was retained at a higher price than Dhoni. Questions arose as to who would be the captain of the CSK team after Dhoni. Chennai team management appointed Jadeja as captain.

After a bad start to the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ravindra Jadeja has decided to step down as CSK captain and has asked MS Dhoni to lead the Chennai Super Kings again. Before the Royal Challengers Bangalore's first win on April 12, CSK suffered a poor start to the season, losing the first four games. CSK finished ninth on the points table, having lost two more games in the next three matches.

Chennai will play their ninth match of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground in Pune.
