Ravi Shastri slams BCCI constitution for 'stupid' clause - full details!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe incident in which Ravi Shastri slammed the BCCI for failing to comment for a few years due to "stupid rules" has caused controversy.
The 15th season of the IPL series is set to begin in a few days. For this all the team players are undergoing intensive training. This time IPL matches will be played in only three cities - Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, Star Sports TV, which broadcasts the IPL series, has released this year's list of commentators. It featured the name of former India head coach Ravi Shastri after a long hiatus.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Shastri said, "This is the 15th edition of the IPL. I did the first 11 years and then, thanks to some stupid conflict of interest clause that exists in some stupid constitution that binds us, you could not do the last few seasons."
In it, the Indian Cricket Board has a provision that a person who is in a job cannot engage in another job. It is worth noting that this was recommended a few years ago by a panel of Lodha Committee.
