Former Australian batsman Shane Warne has died of a heart attack in Thailand last month. Following this, Shane Warne's body was brought to Australia and cremated with state honors. Funeral services were also held at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In this situation it has been decided to pay homage to Shane Warne in the IPL series. The Rajasthan Royals team is making this special arrangement. Rajasthan and Mumbai will clash on April 30.
It was at this ground that Shane Warne captained the Rajasthan team in 2008 to win the IPL trophy. So the show is set to take place at the same venue.
On that day, the Rajasthan team players will wear the word 'SW23' on their jersey collars to indicate Shane Warne. It has also been reported that Shane Warne's brother Jason Warne is scheduled to visit Mumbai to attend the event.
The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards will be held this year on May 15 and 22 at the Island Grounds in Chennai from 6pm to 11.30pm. Ticket booking for this is currently underway.
