IPL 2022: Suresh Raina reveals 4 players who can replace MS Dhoni as CSK captain in future
Home > News Shots > Sports newsSuresh Raina has recently revealed as to who could be the successors to MS Dhoni as CSK captain.
The Chennai Super Kings team led by Dhoni has achieved many historic victories in the IPL series. CSK have won 4 IPL trophies so far.
Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020. So it was reported at the time that he was retiring from the IPL series as well. But Dhoni denied it. The CSK team suffered the worst defeats in the IPL series that year. That is why MSD faced a lot of criticism.
This was followed by the success in 2021 with an excellent comeback as CSK won the trophy by defeating Kolkata in the final. And now yet again in this upcoming season, the Chennai Super Kings will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match. Both teams are training hard for this.
Former CSK player Suresh Raina, who met reporters, commented on which players might lead the Chennai team after Dhoni. In it, ‘Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa and Dwayne Bravo can lead the side. They are capable, know the game very well and can be a successor for M S Dhoni," said Raina.
Suresh Raina has played for CSK for many years. No team, including CSK, had picked Suresh Raina in the IPL mega auction. He is currently the commentator in this season's IPL.
