'Mumbai Indians' trolled on social media after it becomes first-ever IPL team to lose first 8 matches!

Mumbai Indians (MI) team is facing a series defeat in IPL 2022. Mumbai lost to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 36 runs at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 24).

Rohit Sharma and Co, who chased down the Super Giants' 169 with an unbeaten century by captain KL Rahul, youngster Tilak Varma bravely tried to chase down 38, but at the other end Mumbai failed due to lack of co-operation.

Mumbai lost by 4 wickets to Delhi in the first match of the season. In the second match, Rajasthan lost by 23 runs. Kolkata by 5 wickets in the third match. They also lost to Bangalore by 7 wickets in the fourth match.

Punjab beat Mumbai by 12 runs in the fifth match and Lucknow in the sixth. After losing by 3 wickets to Chennai in the seventh match, Mumbai lost by 36 runs in the eighth match against Lucknow yesterday. Thus missing out on a chance to even qualify for the play-off round.

Meanwhile, fans trolled the team heavily on social media for this poor performance of the Mumbai team. In particular, Ishant Kishan's 20-ball knock, and fans are worried about the Mumbai team playing indifferently.

Fans have commented that Ishaan and Pollard should not be given a chance to play in the next matches. Some fans have also commented that the Mumbai team will have the worst game in 2022. A fan has criticized the Mumbai team for acting like the Pakistan Karachi team.
