Indian Cricketer Mithali Raj is the first woman to have been a part of 6 World Cup events. Named Sachin Tendulkar of the Indian women's cricket team, Mithali Raj also made her international debut in 1999 at a very young age and is currently playing in the ongoing World Cup. This will be the fourth World Cup cricket series in which she will lead the Indian team at the age of 39. Belinda Clarke has previously lead Australian in the WCC four times.

23 years of Mithali Raj:

Mithali Raj has been playing international cricket for 23 years. Sachin Tendulkar's record documents 24 years of his being in international team from 1989-2013. She has only one more year to achieve that record. She has played in 225 ODIs so far and has amassed 7623 runs at an average of 51.85.  She is the highest run scorer in women's ODI cricket. This year's World Cup is her sixth .

Sachin and Javed Miandad:

None of the players have played in 6 World Cups before. But the duo holds this record in men’s cricket. India's Sachin made his World Cup debut in 1992 and played in 6 consecutive World Cups until the 2011 World Cup. Similarly, Pakistan's Javed Miandad played his first World Cup in 1975 and his last in 1996.

Break the record:

Mithali Raj, now 39, leads the Indian team in full spirit. So there is an expectation that she will play until another World Cup. If she did, she would become the only player to have participated in 7 World Cups.
