Kane Williamson's wicket creates controversy leaving fans totally disappointed!

Five league matches have been played in the 15th IPL so far. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders will clash in today's match.

Earlier in the day, Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad and Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals clashed in the fifth league match yesterday.

The Rajasthan Royals, who batted first in the match, were determined from the start to achieve a good score.

Stumbling Hyderabad team

At the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan scored 210 runs for the loss of six wickets. At the maximum, Sanju Samson had scored 55 runs. Subsequently, the Hyderabad team stumbled, losing wickets in succession towards the hard target. In particular, many were out for single-digit runs.

Markram (57) and Washington Sundar (40) put on 149 for the loss of seven wickets at the end of 20 overs. Thus, by a margin of 61 runs, Rajasthan won by a huge margin. Meanwhile, Hyderabad captain Williamson's wicket has caused a great deal of controversy.

Decision of Third Umpire

Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma were the opening batsmen for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Williamson, who had scored only 2 runs, was dismissed in the 2nd over by Prasidh Krishna.

Prasidh Krishna bowled the ball to Williamson and it went into the hands of keeper Samson and the ball bounced off his gloves and Devdutt Padikkal, somehow managed to catch the ball. 

Controversy over decision

The third referee, who saw this from some angle, declared it out. But, before the ball was caught by Padikkal, it looks like it had bounced once on the ground. Fans, who have been sharing a lot of videos related to this, have been pointing out that the referee has given a wrong decision. Also, some, including the coach of the Hyderabad team, has crticized the third umpire's decision.

Perhaps, fans are also pointing out that if Williamson had stood on the field, the outcome of the match might have even changed. The decision of the third umpire in the IPL series is currently the subject of much controversy.
