Suresh Raina to be a part of the commentary team for IPL 2022: Report!

The 15th IPL series is all set to kickstart on March 26. In the first match, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will clash each other.

Also, two new teams, the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants, are taking part in the IPL this season.

Due to this, league matches will be played in two groups (five teams per team).

Fans shocked

As the IPL matches approach, all the teams have already started training and are actively preparing. Last month (February), during the mega IPL auction, one of the star players was not picked by any team, and this particular move shocked the fans.

Suresh Raina, who had been playing for the Chennai Super Kings for over 10 seasons, was not picked by any team this time. Thus, he was declared 'Unsold'. Fans were left saddened with this move and they took to their social media to comment about the same.

Following this, when Jason Roy left the Gujarat Titans, fans were commenting and trending on social media to pick Raina inorder to replace Roy. Even the fans went a step further and shared a lot of editing photos of Raina wearing a Gujarat jersey.

However, Gujarat opted for Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the opening batsman of the Afghanistan team, instead of Jason Roy. Thus, it was almost certain that Raina would not be able to participate in the IPL series. Now, it is speculated that Raina will be a part of the IPL series again but with a twist.

IPL Commentary

It has been reported that Suresh Raina will be involved in the commentary of the IPL series this season. Credible sources also say that Ravi Shastri, the former coach of the Indian team, will also be joining Raina for commentary after many years.

While both are said to be a part of the Hindi commentary for the IPL matches, fans are eagerly waiting to listen to Raina's comment when the CSK team plays.
