The 13th league match of the IPL series was played yesterday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The match was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. Bangalore captain Du Plessis won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Rajasthan scored 169 for 3 in 20 overs. Jos Butler top-scored with 70 and Hetmyer with 42.

Following this, Bangalore set a target of 170 for victory. But initially, Bangalore stumbled, losing consecutive wickets. Many thought that Bangalore would lose as they lost 4 wickets in the first 10 overs. Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed, the Tamil Nadu batsmen who came out on top during this difficult time, responsibly played.

Bangalore won by 173 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 19.1 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed was dismissed for 45 off 26 balls. Dinesh Karthik was unbeaten on 44 off 23 balls with 7 fours and 1 six.

Speaking after the match, Dinesh Karthik said, "I made a conscious effort to do justice to myself. Felt I could have done better in the last few years. The way I’ve trained has been different. I was telling myself I’m not done yet. I have a goal and I want to achieve something.

We needed 12 runs an over, so you need to figure out what to do. Stay calm, know your game and who you can take on. Made an effort to play white-ball cricket, practice matches and scenarios," he added. Dinesh is happy to lead the team to victory in that category.
