"My first IPL wicket was one of my favourite batters" - CSK's young player reveals!

CSK player Maheesh Theekshana also shared about taking the first wicket in the IPL series.

The IPL league match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore was played at the Mumbai Stadium yesterday. Batting first, CSK scored 216 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Batting next, Bangalore won the toss and elected to field.

So at the end of 20 overs they took only 193 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The CSK team won by 23 runs. CSK have started their first account in the current IPL series by winning the tournament.

For CSK, Maheesh Theekshana took 4 wickets, Jadeja 3 wickets and Bravo and Mukesh Chaudhary took 1 wicket each. Spinner Maheesh Theekshana was instrumental in CSK's victory in the match. Bangalore captain Du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Shahbaz Ahmed and Prabhudessai took important wickets in the match.

Speaking after the match, Maheesh Theekshana said, “My first IPL wicket is of one of my favourite batters. I was told by the coaches and the players that I was going to get wickets today. And I am really happy. We got a huge score on the board. We just went for dot balls and we knew that they were going to attack. We backed ourselves and that’s why we got the results."
