The 46th league match of the IPL series was played at the Pune ground yesterday. Chennai Super Kings led by Dhoni and Sunrisers Hyderabad led by Kane Williamson clashed. Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl.
Batting first, CSK scored 2 for 85 in 20 overs. Natarajan took 2 wickets for Hyderabad. Batting next, Hyderabad scored 189 for 6 in 20 overs. So CSK won by 13 runs. For CSK, Mukesh Chaudhary took 4 wickets and Mitchell Santner and Twain Pretorius took 1 wicket each.
Speaking after the match, CSK captain Dhoni said, "The batsmen played well and set a good target for us. But we gave up 25 runs in the first 2 overs. So the bowlers were pushed into a bit of a stressful situation.
Don’t worry if 4 sixes go in an over, I will always tell the bowlers to restrict the runs off the remaining 2 balls. These two balls can be of great help when playing towards the biggest goal. I do not know if others will agree with this opinion of mine. "Our spinners bowled consistently from the 7th over to the 14th over," Dhoni said.
The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards will be held this year on May 15 and 22 at the Island Ground in Chennai Island from 6pm to 11.30pm. Ticket booking for this is currently underway.
