The 15th season of the IPL series in India has recently come to an end. The Gujarat Titans led by Hardik Pandya won the trophy. This was followed by the awarding of prizes to the winning teams.

In this situation for the first time the BCCI is offering incentives to ground keepers. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced this on his Twitter page. In it, he said, "I'm pleased to announce prize money of INR 1.25 crores for the men who gave us the best games in #TATAIPL 2022. The unsung heroes - our curators and groundsmen across 6 IPL venues this season," Jay Shah wrote in his tweet.

The total league matches are scheduled to be played in two cities, Mumbai and Pune, throughout the current IPL season due to the Corona threat. Accordingly, the league matches were played at a total of four venues, including the Wankhede, Barbour, DY Bottle in Mumbai and the Pune MCA Stadium in Mumbai.

This was followed by Qualifier 1 in the play-offs and finals, while the eliminator matches were played at Eden Gardens and Ahmedabad in Kolkata. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said the prize money was Rs 25 lakh each for Barbourne, Wankhede, DY Patil and MCA venues and Rs 12.5 lakh each for Eden Gardens and Ahmedabad venues.
