The 15th season of this year's IPL series is set to take place in India. The Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have teamed up since this year. Lucknow skipper Mark Wood has been ruled out of the IPL due to injury.

So the Lucknow team is keen to select a replacement for him. Accordingly, Taskin Ahmed of the Bangladesh team was called up on behalf of the Lucknow team. But he reportedly turned down the offer.

According to a statement issued by the Bangladesh team, "The Bangladesh team is currently playing a tour of South Africa. Following the ongoing ODIs, a two-match Test series is scheduled to take place. Following this, the Bangladesh team is to play in the series against the Sri Lankan team on home soil.

Taskin Ahmed will not be allowed to play in the IPL as he has been included in the series. We were talking to him about this IPL opportunity. But he also understood that it was in the best interest of the team and said that he did not play in the IPL series.

Earlier, Lucknow team adviser Gautam Gambhir had said that Duskin Ahmed would be good to join our team. Gambhir has said he will skip the upcoming Test series against South Africa and join Lucknow if he joins the squad.
