IPL 2022: Ayush Badoni reveals Gautam Gambhir's advice ahead of clash against Gujarat Titans!

Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants will clash in the ongoing IPL series today.

Earlier, Chennai had lost the match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Similarly, in the match against Gujarat Titans, Lucknow was defeated.

As both the teams have started the 15th IPL series with defeats, both the teams will go down in full effort to start the winning account in today's match. Thus, it is expected that there will be no famine throughout the competition.

Young player looking back

In the first match against Gujarat, Lucknow could not cope with the Gujarat team's delivery and stumbled, losing consecutive wickets. Then, Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni both scored half-centuries to help them score a good run.

22-year-old Ayush Badoni has scored half a century in his debut IPL match and set various records. In just one match, all the cricket fans turned to him. As well, many of his shots have been highly acclaimed.

Gautam Gambhir is the reason

Speaking after the match, Ayush said, "Gautam bhaiya backed me a lot. He told me to play just my natural game. He told me you won't get the one-odd match, but you will get a proper run. He also told me, 'you don't need to play according to the situation. There are senior players to do that. You show us your natural game'," Badoni said at the post-match press conference after Lucknow Super Giants' clash against Gujarat Titans."

"I have been in the auction for three years and have gone unsold. I have been to trials for two-three teams but nobody picked me at the auction eventually. So I am grateful to Lucknow for picking me," said the 22-year-old.

The role of Gambhir

Kolkata have won the trophy twice in the IPL so far. Both these times, Gautam Gambhir was the captain of the Kolkata team. Currently, he has been appointed as the advisor to the Lucknow team and has been a key person in the selection of players for the IPL auction. 

Now, the fans are eager to know whether Badoni's batting will play a big role in today's match against Chennai.
