Yuvraj Singh, the 37-year-old veteran, is one of the best-limited overs players India has produced and definitely is a legend in this format.

He has had plenty of ups and downs in his career since making is one day debut in the year 2000. Although he had played a few important knocks, the Natwest final in 2002 against England, where he scored 69 runs off 63 deliveries when India was struggling at 146/5 chasing a daunting 325, is what put him in the limelight and went on to become an integral part of the Indian team playing a number of match-winning knocks.

The year 2007 really spiked up his career, when Yuvraj Singh was named the vice-captain of the Indian T20 world cup side. His 12-ball 50 against England, including six sixes of Stuart Broad, is very well etched into everyone's memories. Following that, his 30-ball 70 against Australia in the semifinals, was another inhuman effort that will not be forgotten. Another major highlight of his career was when he played the 2011 world cup, where he had a dream tournament with both bat and ball, becoming the first allrounder to score 300 plus runs and take 15 wickets in a single world cup, which helped India lift the trophy.
Unfortunately, he was then shockingly diagnosed with cancer, which kept him away from the game, but like he always does, fought through the tough period and came back. He has been in and out of the side since and had a forgettable 2014 T20 world cup. He continued to pile on the runs in the domestic scene and earned a call back in the home series against England where he scored his career-best 150 off just 127 deliveries. He also scored a scintillating knock of 53 against Pakistan in the 2017 champions trophy, but later was dropped since he was was not able to clear the yoyo fitness test.

He has been playing for different teams in the IPL and now has joined the Mumbai Indians in 2019, where he got off to a good start scoring 53 off 35 balls, who was the only shining light in the Mumbai Innings. When asked on what keeps him going, speaking after the game, Yuvraj Singh said: " I started playing cricket because I enjoyed the cricket, When I enjoyed playing cricket, I was not playing for India, it was U-14, U-16, so till the time I enjoy, I will play.". He also mentioned that speaking with Sachin has helped him to keep going.
There are a lot of fans out there who hope to see him continue and hopefully, he goes on to have a big tournament for the Mumbai Indians and entertain his fans.
