Former Indian Batsman Trolls Ex-England Captain for Saying ‘Australia will beat India in all formats'
Home > News Shots > Sports newsTeam India made a big comeback after facing criticism for losing the ODI series. They made a roaring comeback on their tour of Australia.
After they lost the first two matches of the three-match ODI to Australia. They finally have won the next three matches to gain momentum ahead of the all-important Test series. Looking into the chart, India defeated Australia by 5 wickets to win the second T20 international in Sydney.
Initially when Team India's performance was low during the series, former England captain Michael Vaughan wasn’t impressed with them. He also predicted that Virat Kohli’s men will lose to Australia in all three formats of the tour.
"Early call ... I think Australia will beat India this tour in all formats convincingly," Vaughan had tweeted.
Soon after that prediction went wrong, where India won the series-clinching 2nd T20 International (T20I) against Australia in Sydney, former India batsman Wasim Jaffer took a dig at Vaughan by posting a hilarious meme in reply to Vaughan’s tweet.
Jaffer, who is known to be active and on point with his witty posts and funny memes, was quick to remind Vaughan about his "early call" with a still from the movie "Gangs of Wasseypur".
Talking about the match, T Natarajan was brilliant during the game. He produced fine returns of 3/30 and 2/20 in the two matches. “We’ve played as a team in T20 cricket. The fact that we don’t have Rohit and Bumrah, our established white ball players, in and still doing well makes me happy,” Kohli explained.
“Everyone has played 14 games at least, recently - so they know what their plans are. We just kept them down to a total which we thought was quite chaseable with the short boundary. It’s contributions from the whole team that make you feel better because young players are taking their opportunities," he added.
Meanwhile, the third T20I will be played on Tuesday and that will be followed by the four-match Test series between the two sides.
