Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen in the world, who has come a long way since leading his team at the U-19 World Cup in 2008. As Kohli celebrated his 32nd birthday on Thursday (October 5), fans and cricket fraternity poured out their wishes for the soon to be dad.

Despite being one of the best batsmen in the modern-era, Kohli was once a part-time bowler. He had even described himself as a 'right-arm quick' in an introduction video during the 2008 U1-19 World Cup.

However, Kohli has stayed away from trying his hands at it regularly.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has come up with a throwback video from the 2008 U-19 World Cup. In the video, Kohli described himself as a quick bowler. The video was shared a day before his birthday which went viral instantly.

After seeing the old video, fans went crazy and have come up with some epic comments to take a dig at him. "I used to follow James Anderson's action when I was at the academy (in Delhi). Later, when I got to play alongside him, I told him about that story. We both had a good laugh over it," Kohli had said.

As time has passed, Kohli has made himself as one of the greatest of the modern-day world. He also leads the Indian team across all three formats.

Kohli is currently in UAE, leading Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and has also sealed a playoffs berth. They are in the fourth position in points tally and will play eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today.
