Indian skipper Virat Kohli became the second fastest batsman in India to reach 6,000 runs on Friday. Kohli reached this milestone while playing the fourth Test against England at Southampton.

At the end of the day, the skipper was treated to pastries and strawberries by the hotel he was staying at. Kohli took to Twitter to tweet out the 'sweet gesture' and praised the hotel for its hospitality. He wrote, "What a sweet gesture by the staff at the Harbour hotel in Southampton. Great Hospitality."

Kohli is the second batsman in India to complete 6,000 runs after Sunil Gavaskar. Virat Kohl also stands first in the ICC player rankings of Test batsmen.
