The Sri Lankan team toured India and played a series of 3 T20 and 2 Test matches. India won the T20 series 3-0. This was followed by a Test series between the two teams.
India beat Sri Lanka by 222 runs in the first Test at Mohali followed by the 2nd Test between the two teams at the Bangalore Stadium.
India won the toss and elected to bat first, losing all their wickets for 252 runs. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 92. Batting next, Sri Lanka lost all their wickets for 109 runs. Following this, India batted in their second innings. He scored 303 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 67, Rishabh Pant scored 50 and skipper Rohit Sharma managed to get 46 runs.
Batting next, Sri Lanka lost all their wickets for 208 runs. The team captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored 107 runs. India won the match 2-0 to win the Test series.
