England vice-captain, James Anderson said that Virat Kohli will be desperate to score runs for his team. The comment came as a retort to the Indian skipper, who said that it does not matter if he does not score runs, as long as his team wins.
Anderson reportedly said, "It doesn’t matter if he gets runs or not? I think he is telling lies there. For India to win here, of course, it matters. Virat will be desperate to score runs for his team, as you would expect from the captain and one of the best players in the world."
The exchange comes prior to the upcoming five-match Test series in August between India and England. India already lost against England during the ODI series held last week. There is a pressure on the Indian team to win.
