Virat Kohli Creates Instagram Record Surpassing Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsVirat Kohli has made smashing records a habit and the latest is him becoming the
first Indian to reach the 50 million followers mark on Instagram. Kohli is known for his enviable social media following. The 31-year old has around 930 posts on the platform. Overall, Instagram's official account has the most number of followers, followed by Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 200M followers.
In terms of Indians with most number of followers, Priyanka Chopra is at the second spot with 49.9M followers while Deepika Padukone comes third with 44.1M followers.
Incidentally, last year, Kohli had become the most successful Indian Test captain, surpassing MS Dhoni.
Currently, Kohli is geared up to lead India in a test series against New Zealand. India earlier took home the T20 International series 5-0, but suffered a 3-0 drubbing in the ODI series.
Like most others, Kohli is also gearing up for the IPL. This time, Royal Challengers Bangalore, which Kohli is the skipper of, has had a rebranding with the logo and display picture undergoing a change. Despite being there ever since the start of the tournament, RCB has never lifted the title. Fans would be hoping, at least, this time around, there shall be a change of fortunes.
Meanwhile, Kohli didn’t make too much of a dent in New Zealand and this had contributed to him dropping to the 10th place in the list of ICC World T20 Batsmen with Pakistan’s Babar Azam topping the list.
