Wow! Virat Kohli recommended for this prestigious award

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu were recommended for this year's Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award on Monday. 

Kohli was nominated for a second time after failing to get a nod from the committee in 2016. Kohli is currently in the lead now in the ICC rankings. If Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore approves, Kohli will be the third cricketer to receive the Khel Ratna after Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. 

Chanu was recommended post her gold medal in the 48kg category at the World Championships last year. She also bagged the gold medal in this year's Commonwealth Games.
