6,6,6,6,6: 'Thala' Dhoni Smashes Five Consecutive Sixes at Chepauk- VIDEO!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe 13th edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) is just three weeks away and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans cannot keep calm already. Their beloved 'Thala' MS Dhoni will be returning to competitive cricket after a long gap. Dhoni has been inactive in the sport since India's exit in the World Cup semifinal last year.
Dhoni along with Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and few other players has started training at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from March 2.
Meanwhile, Star Sports Tamil took to Twitter to share a video from one of Dhoni's practice sessions. The 1-minute video clip shows Dhoni smashing five consecutive sixes at the nets in style. It is, however, unclear whether Dhoni is hitting the shots against a bowler or a ball-machine.
Shared on Friday, the video attracted large attention from fans and critics in a short time. "Enga thala dhoniku periya whistle adinga [sic]," commented one Twitter user. "This is really too much," wrote another.
Chennai Super Kings will be taking on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the opening game of the tournament at Wankhede Stadium on March 24.
