VIDEO: KL Rahul says how Steve Smith helped him in improving his batting skills!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsKL Rahul is exhibiting the best of forms in recent times that even Virat Kohli was ready to go down the batting line-up during the first ODI against Australia in order to accomodate the trio of Rahul, Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.
However, Rahul was sent outto bat at 5th position in the second ODI after India's heavy loss in the first game and that explains a lot on the flexibility Rahul will have to adopt despite the rich vein of form he is in.
Asked about his preparation for the switch, Rahul said he spoke to other middle order batsmen including Virat Kohli and watched videos of the likes of Steve Smith.
“I watched the videos of players like AB de Villiers, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson. Only thing is I adjusted my game to it. My game reading has also become much better," Rahul said.
Virat Kohli was all praises for the Bengaluru player after India beat Australia by 36 runs at Rajkot yesterday thereby levelling the series.
"It is very difficult to leave out a player like KL Rahul and his 52-ball-80 is the “best that he has batted at the international level”, Kohli said.
