Tamil Thalaivas coach resigns mid-season! New coach to take in charge!

Pro Kabbadi Tamil Thalaivas coach Edachery Bhaskaran resigned his position owing to continuous failure of the team. Former India coach J. Udayakumar will take incharge for the remainder of the season.

"Sometimes things works in your favor and sometimes it won't..I have tried most honestly as a coach and put in the 28 years of my coching experience into the Thalaivas squad but unfortunately, we didn't get the results that we all had desired and that's how every sport is.... You win sometimes and you loose sometime. So I own the full moral responsibility for it and resign from the post. It was a great honour to coach a team that comes from the 'Home of Kabaddi' and a team which has 2 Arjuna Awardees and a Padma Shri player, (sic)" Bhaskaran wrote in an Instagram post.

The team has 9 more games to play this season when the news came as a shocker to the team and fans. Tamil Thalaivas had a poor start this season as they were only one position above the bottom of the table.

"We have another nine games in hand if we win seven of them, then we still have a chance of making the playoffs. It seems difficult, but I am looking forward to the challenge" said udayakumar.
