I'm a Big Fan: Tamannaah Bhatia Reveals her Favourite India Cricketer and IPL Team- Watch Video

The Indian cricket team has a global fan base, so it is not unusual to see Bollywood actors having their favourite players in the national side.

After Priyanka Chopra revealed her love for the sport and named a couple of players as her favourite, Tamannaah Bhatia has announced her pick. 

Tamannaah who was recently in Abu Dhabi to watch the T10 League match between Deccan Gladiators and Qalandars was questioned on her favourite cricketer by the host. Without thinking twice, she named former India captain MS Dhoni. “Well I mean I am from India, so, you know Dhoni is someone I’m a big fan of," she said.

Tamannaah defines her performance during the opening ceremony of IPL 2018 as a totally different feeling. “Before this, I have never performed for a sports event and of course, when you are on a stage there is a certain feeling of nervousness and excitement. As a performer, the feeling to perform in a stadium and to feel the energy of the audience will be completely different. I am excited because there is no better sports event than IPL to perform. We are all crazy about cricket and it’s the opening night,” she said ahead of the final rehearsal of the opening ceremony.

She also revealed that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is her favourite IPL franchise. “Chennai Super Kings is my favorite franchise, it has Dhoni and I am a huge fan, so I am looking forward to seeing them play.”

Earlier this year, rumours on skipper Virat Kohli and Tamannaah dating each other in the past were doing rounds, but the actress debunked those rumours.

On game front, India and West Indies will feature in three T20 Internationals and as many One-day internationals starting December 6. The Caribbean side toured India last year only to get defeated by 0-2 in Test matches and 1-3 in the ODIs before getting whitewashed in the shortest format of the game.

Earlier this year, Virat Kohli & Co. toured the Caribbean islands for another full-series where they once again whitewashed the Windies in all the three formats.
