During the match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in the mega final of the Indian Premier League (IPL), fans witnessed a thrilling game between the two teams.

This final match was the sixth final for the defending champions while the Capitals made it to the clash for the first time in 13 years. After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer opted to bat first and his team scored a 156 runs on the board after 20 overs.

When MI came to bat, Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock showed some blazing shots on the field. But later Quinton got out in the 5th over after which Suryakumar Yadav walked in. Both Rohit and Suryakumar made a brilliant partnership to keep the team ahead in the game.

A shocking incident happened when Rohit Sharma tried to take a run while Suryakumar Yadav was watching the ball and was adamant that there was no run.

In that time, Rohit reached his end almost while Suryakumar Yadav stayed in his place. It was Praveen Dubey, who got to the ball and threw it to the striker’s end to affect the run-out. Fans were surprised when Surya brought his selfless nature during the match.

Minutes later, Suryakumar decided to sacrifice his wicket and walked to the crease as soon as Rohit Sharma reached close to him. The selfless nature from Suryakumar Yadav instantly won hearts on social media.

However, Rohit Sharma, who understood that he made a mistake, regretted his decision amid the game. Post the match, Suryakumar revealed that he does not mind sacrificing for the team and was happy that the team won the finals.
